Jaguar Gymnastics Policies and Procedures

Registration Procedures

Jaguar Gymnastics does not charge an annual registration fee like many other gyms do.  We do our best to keeps costs affordable for our families.  All registrations must be processed online.  Walk-in registrations will not be allowed.  We offer a multi-class discount.  We also offer a multi-child discount.  A 10% discount applies when registering 2 children from the same family, or when registering for 2 classes during the same session.  A 20% discount applies when registering 3 or more children from the same family, or when registering for 3 or more classes during the same session.  We reserve the right to cancel, combine, or re-schedule any classes or programs due to lack of enrollment, or substitute a teacher as necessary.  If you are not 100% satisfied within the first 2 weeks of a session, we will gladly refund any unused portion of your tuition less a $5.00 processing fee.  No refunds will be given after that date.  For new students joining a class after a session has begun, tuition fees will be prorated to reflect the number of classes that remain in the session.

First Class of the Session

Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your class start time to allow adequate time to get checked in.  If you did not pay online, please bring payment the first night of class.  We accept credit card, check, or exact cash payments.  You also have the convenience to make payment in your online account anytime prior to the first class.  Parents must come in with their child on the first day of class to ensure we have all necessary registration forms completed and any balances are reconciled before class begins.

Getting to Class

Classes are held in the Gymnastics gym at Jefferson High School, located at 4001 W 102nd St, Bloomington, MN 55437.  The gymnastics gym is located east of the main gymnasium.  Enter through the activity center entrance on the west side of the school.  Walk straight ahead through a set of royal blue double doors.  Immediately to the right will be a set of stairs taking you to the lower level.  At the bottom of the stairs, you'll see a sign for Jaguar Gymnastics to head left.  Continue following the signs and you'll take your next right.  You've arrived!

Payment Policy

Tuition is due by the first day of the session.  If tuition is not paid by the second week of the session, a gymnast will not be allowed to participate and their place in class will be forfeited.  A $25 fee will be incurred to all checks returned to Jaguar Gymnastics for non-payment.  Jaguar Gymnastics does not refund or adjust fees for missed classes.  Please see our make-up Policy for information on make-up classes.  If you will be away from the gym for an extended period of time due to extreme circumstances, please contact us to make arrangements immediately.

Make-up Policy

Jaguar Gymnastics will allow each participant in our recreational classes two make-ups per session during the school year, and unlimited make-ups during the summer.  Make-ups must be completed before the end of the current running session and are allowed on a space available basis.  All make-up classes must be arranged in advance.  No walk-in make-ups will be allowed.  If you encounter a schedule change and would like to permanently change your class time, please contact us for availability.  If your child becomes injured and will be absent for an extended period of time, please notify us immediately.

Gym Closures

Jaguar Gymnastics will generally follow closure policies of the Bloomington Public School District.  When Jefferson High School is closed, classes will also be cancelled.  If the district cancels school but the high school remains open, please watch for an email or check our Facebook page for updates on class status.  In the event that classes are cancelled, we will work to schedule a make-up day for all classes, or will allow you to make-up in another class, pending space is available.

What to Wear

Girls can wear a leotard or shorts/leggings and a t-shirt.  No two-piece outfits that expose the stomach.  This can lead to injury or discomfort on certain apparatuses.  Boys can wear shorts/athletic pants and a t-shirt.  All children should be barefoot during class.  For the safety of your child and their instructor, please no zippers, buttons, or snaps on your child’s clothing.  Hair must be pulled back and away from your child’s face.  Absolutely no gum or jewelry will be allowed during class.

Valuables

Neither Jaguar Gymnastics nor Jefferson High School is not responsible for any items left behind, lost, or stolen.  Any personal items or valuables should not be brought to the gym.  If you believe you may have left an item at the gym, please contact us to see if it was picked up and turned into our lost and found.

Gym Safety

Gymnasts are not allowed on any equipment when they are not in class.  Please ensure your child waits behind the red and black ropes until your class is called.  This also includes the blue mats on the floor next to the main gymnastics floor.  Gymnasts should not be practicing skills on these mats before or after their class.  We also request that siblings and other spectators are not on any of the equipment at any time.  Both the north and south sides of the gym have available seating for spectators.  The north gym also has a small kids area including a table and other activities that children may utilize while their siblings are in class.  Please ensure your non-participating children are supervised while they are in the gym.  Jaguar Gymnastics does not provide staff to watch unattended children at the gym.  Please do not leave children unattended before or after class.

Discipline Policy

Disruptive or threatening behavior of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.  Jaguar Gymnastics operates a strict three strikes policy:

1. Any gymnast or parent failing to meet our behavior standards will receive a verbal warning.

2. If the behavior continues, a written warning will be issued to the gymnast and parents.

3. If the written warning or continued verbal warnings have no effect, the gymnast or parent may be suspended or expelled from the program at the discretion of the director.
